2. Read Daniel 7:11-14. What is the significance of the term Son of Man? Why do you think Jesus referred to Himself as the Son of Man? How does John use this designation with regard to Jesus (cf. John 1:51; 3:13; 5:27; 6:27,53, 62; 8:28; etc.)?

4. Did the glory that Jesus had before the incarnation differ from the glory that He has now (cf. John 17:4)? How was the glory of Christ manifested while He was on the earth (cf. John 2:11; 11:4; Matthew 17:2)?

5. In John 13:31 Jesus states that now He is glorified. What exactly is Jesus referencing as the fulfillment of His glorification? Do you believe this command was only intended for the first disciples? Why or why not? How are you doing with obedience to this command of Jesus?

8. Describe what love is? From where does love originate? What does it mean to love one another; is this a general or specific commandment? What does a person’s love or lack of love for others tell us about that person? Consider the following passages: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8; Galatians 6:10; Luke 6:44-45.

9. Consider Peter’s response when asking Jesus why he could not go with Him. What does this tell us about Peter; positively and possibly negatively? Do you think it is wrong to ask God “Why” questions? Explain.

10. In what ways, if any, do you struggle with completely trusting the Lord? Do you ever struggle with trusting His plan for your life? Do you ever struggle with God’s timing? Do you ever struggle with relying upon God instead of your own perceived abilities? Take time to pray and ask God to help you trust Him in these areas.
