1. If you were not able to hear this week’s sermon, consider going to the church website and listening to it. What main ideas did you gain from the message? Do you have any questions?

2. Define and explain your understanding of redemption as a biblical concept. What are some examples of people being redeemed in Scripture (cf. Exodus 6, Ruth 3)?

3. What does it mean that God has redeemed us? From what were we redeemed (cf. Ephesians 2; Romans 3:10-23)? How do you (personally and in general) know that you have been redeemed?

4. What does it mean to be condemned by God? How does the condemnation of God impact our lives (cf. Genesis 4:1-13)? Do you think God is justified with His condemnation of sin and sinners? Explain your answer.

5. What is it about God that makes Him the ultimate Redeemer? What is the magnitude of His redemption? To what extent and for what duration does God’s redemption benefit our lives (cf. Hebrews 9:13-14; Romans 8:1-4; Psalm 34:22; Galatians 3:13)?

6. What was the price of our redemption which God paid (cf. Romans 3:24-26)? What demands does God’s redemption place upon our lives (cf. 1 Corinthians 6:12-20; Galatians 5:1)?
