Life Group Questions

1. If you were not able to hear this week’s sermon, consider going to the church website and listening to it. What main ideas did you gain from the message? Do you have any questions?

2. What are some enemies we face as Christians, and how can we defeat them (cf. Ephesians 6:10-12)? Have you ever experienced spiritual battles? How does the example of Jesus in Matthew 4:1-17 help us to handle temptation and difficulty?

3. What danger does Satan pose to Christians (cf. Job 2:7; Luke 22:31-32; 1 Chronicles 21:1)? What is it about the name of Jesus that gives us victory (cf. Luke 10:17-20)?

4. Read Psalm 124. What does this Psalm of David tell us about his confidence? Where did David find his peace, comfort and strength?

5. What does it mean that Christians are conquerors who have overcome the world (cf. 1 John 4:4; 5:4-5; Romans 8:31-39)? Do you feel victorious over the world? Explain.

6. Describe some ways God rewards people for faithfulness (cf. James 1:1-12). Why is it important to understand that God rewards those who seek and obey Him (cf. Hebrews 11:6)? Do you feel you will be rewarded for your life? Why or why not? Should we care about rewards in heaven?
