2. Do you believe spiritual warfare occurs today (cf. Ephesians 6:10-18)? Have you ever experienced spiritual attacks? How do we know if evil forces are attacking us?

3. Describe some of the methods by which Satan operates (cf. Ephesians 6:11; Genesis 3; etc.). What titles and descriptions are used for Satan (cf. Genesis 3; 1Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:10)? What characterizes Satan?

4. Who is the one in us that is stronger than the one in the world (cf. 1John 4:4-6)? In what way is he stronger? What is the significance of him being “in” us, and what does that mean?

5. Look at Genesis 4:1-7 and list at least three observations. When, according to the text, is sin crouching at the door? By what means are we able to rule over sin? Are you ruling over sin in your life? In what areas do you struggle?

6. Describe the contrast made in Mark 14:38 about the Spirit and the flesh. In what way is the Spirit willing? Is the flesh willing in the same way? Describe how and why the flesh is weak.
