Life Group Questions

1. If you were not at this week’s sermon, consider going to the church website and listening to it. What main ideas did you gain from the message? Do you have any questions?

2. Take a few moments and reflect upon God’s goodness in your life. What events or situations come to mind that have caused you to thank God for his goodness?

3. Look at the following verses and reflect upon the many aspects of God’s goodness: 1Chronicles 16:34, Psalm 31:19, Psalm 34:8, Psalm 86:5, Psalm 100:5, Psalm 145:9, Nahum 1:7.

4. God works in ways that many times we do not understand (cf. Isaiah 55:8-9). Think about the story of Joseph in Genesis 37-50. How did God use a seemingly bad situation for good (cf. Genesis 50:20)?

5. True believers recognize that God is good, however if we are honest many times we don’t understand what He might be doing. How do the following verses help us trust in God’s goodness even when we might not understand what he is doing (cf. Deuteronomy 29:29, Romans 8:28, Proverbs 3:5-6, 1Peter 5:6-10)?

6. When we think of examples of God’s goodness, our savior Jesus Christ is the ultimate example for us. What do the following verse tell us about Christs example (cf. 1Peter 2:20-23, Philippians 2:5-11)?
