4. Read the following passages: Mark 4:3-9; Matthew 7:21-23; 1 John 2:19. What do these passages tell us about true Christians? How do we know if we are true believers as opposed to just self-proclaimed believers?

5. List some of the warnings directed at believers in Scripture (e.g., Matthew 6:1; 7:15; 12:36-37; Ephesians 4:29-30; etc.). Why do think God’s Word provides warnings for us? Are you listening to God’s warnings for your life? Explain.

6. Describe the importance of the Word of God to the Christian life. How much of a priority should we place on reading and studying the Bible? Are you satisfied with your knowledge of God’s Word? What are some ways to grow in our understanding of the Bible?

7. Describe what makes our salvation so great. What did the writer intend for us to think about with regard to salvation (cf. Hebrews 1:1-2:1)? What does the word “therefore” in Hebrews 2:1 reference? Take some time to reflect on the greatness of our salvation and give thanks to God for His great work.
