Life Group Questions

1. If you were not at this week’s sermon, consider going to the church website and listening to it. What main ideas did you gain from the message? Do you have any questions?

2. Describe a time when you felt spiritually or emotionally broken. What aspects of the situation made it so difficult? What helped you best deal with the difficulty?

3. Why do you think people in distress and poor circumstances gathered to David? Do disadvantaged and broken people gravitate toward you? Do you believe broken people feel comfortable, accepted and welcomed by you? Explain your answer.

4. What is God’s attitude toward brokenness, and how does He respond to broken people (cf. Psalm 34:17-18; 51:17; 147:3; Ezekiel 34:1-16; Isaiah 42:1-3; 61:1)?

5. What is Christian fellowship’s true sense and content (cf. Acts 2:1-47; 1John 1:1-7)? Would you agree that fellowship is essential to the Christian life? Explain your answer.

6. How can we care for broken people (cf. Colossians 3:12-14; Philippians 2:4; Galatians 6:1-3; Acts 20:35)? How can Macedonia Church better care for the broken in our church and community?

7. Read the following passages and list a few things that will help us deal with brokenness: Romans 8:16-17; 2Timothy 1:7; 2Corinthians 4:17-18; 1Peter 1:1-6; Isaiah 40:30-31; Hebrews 12:1-2 Matthew 11:28-30.
