2. Read Isaiah 55:8-11. How powerful is God’s Word? How does it effect your faith and trust in the Lord knowing the scriptures are powerful? Explain how you have experienced the power of God’s Word?
3. Read Romans 1:15-17. What does the word “gospel” mean? Why do you think the Apostle Paul was not ashamed of the gospel? When you are in the presences of unsaved people, are you ashamed of the gospel? How would you define the gospel message?
4. Read Jude 6; 2Peter 2:4; Genesis 2:15-17, 3:6-8, 3:14-24; Matthew 25:31-46; Romans 2:5. What is the “bad” news? How bad is the bad news in the sight of God? Have you considered the weight of the bad news? How important is it to explain the bad news to the unsaved?
5. How has all of humanity been affected by the sin of Adam and Eve? What are the results of their sins? Read Genesis 6:5; Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:12.
6. Read and study Genesis 3:15. What is the “good news” from God in this passage? Explain how this good news was fulfilled.
7. Read John 6:35-39, 44; Jeremiah 31:31-34; Ezekiel 36:25-27. What does God do to bring about the new birth?
8. Read Romans 8:28-30; Ephesians 1:3-14. Write down the blessings of God’s order of salvation. How have these truths helped you understand the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ?
