Life Group Questions

1. If you were not able to hear this week’s sermon, consider going to the church website and listening to it. What are some main ideas that you gathered from the sermon? What, if any, questions did the sermon cause for you or do you desire to have additional clarification?

2. If you were asked to give some words of advice, final words on life, what would you say (cf. Ecclesiastes 12:13)?

3. Explain at least two lessons that you learned from our study in the book of Hebrews. How has this book challenged you? In what way have you grown?

4. Why is it important to understand that Christ is superior to all others (cf. Hebrews 1; 2:8-9; 7:23-25; etc.)? If Christ was not superior, how would that impact our view of God and our own salvation?

5. Why do you think the writer has been so focused on warning Christians to guard their lives (cf. Hebrews 2:1-4; 6:1-8; 10:19-25; 12:1-2)? What are areas where you need to guard your life better so that you stay the course?

6. Describe the great hope we have as Christians (cf. 4:14)? How does the hope we have in Christ serve to sustain us in our journey of life?

7. Would you describe yourself as one who is “eagerly waiting” for Christ (Hebrews 9:28)? Why should we be eager for His return? How should our life look if we are anticipating the return of Christ?
