2. Read the following passages and describe what each teaches about strife:

3. From where does strife come? What is the root source of strife, and how is it related to a person’s rejection of God (cf. Romans 1:28-32)? What evidence of strife do you see in our society and culture today? Why is strife improper for Christians (cf. Romans 13:11-14)?
4. What was the source of strife in the Corinthian church (cf. 1Corinthians 1:10-17; 3:1-4)? What are some things we can do at Macedonia Church to help limit and prevent strife from occurring? How can strife manifest itself in ministry (cf. Philippians 1:15-18)?
5. Read Titus 3:8-11 and 1Timothy 6:2-5. Summarize Paul’s exhortations about strife. What are some things that we should teach and insist on with regard to strife? Take some time to reflect upon your own life and ask God to show you if there is evidence of strife. Ask God to help you refrain from any form of strife.
