2. How does the idea of God sending His Son speak to the preexistence of Christ (cf. John 1:1)? From where did God send His Son (cf. John 17; Philippians 2; Colossians 1)? Why is it important to recognize Jesus Christ as the Uncreated One?

3. How does the status of Jesus as the Son of God point to His deity (cf. John 5:18)? Describe and explain the difference between Jesus as the Son of God and us as sons and daughters of God (cf. Romans 8:14-17)?

4. List at least three reasons why it is significant that Jesus was born of a virgin (cf. Isaiah 7:14). How does this manner of birth of the second Adam (cf. Romans 5; 1Corinthians 15) relate to that of the first Adam (cf. Genesis 2)? How does this manner of birth fulfill the promise of God in Genesis 3:15?

5. Look up the title “Son of Man” in a bible dictionary or perform a search of this phrase in the Bible. In general, how is this term used with reference to God’s Anointed, the Christ? What is the significance of Jesus using this phrase with reference to himself (cf. Daniel 7:13-15; Matthew 26:64)?
