1. If you were not at this week’s sermon, consider going to the church website and listening to it. What main ideas did you gain from the message? Do you have any questions?

2. Read Matthew 28:7, 10, 19. Discuss the difference between the three “go” statements.

3. Define what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ? Read Luke 14:26, 27, 33. Discuss some of the costs for becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ.

4. Read Matthew 4:18-22; Matthew 10:1-4. How did Jesus call his disciples and how did they respond to him?

5. Read Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 4:12; John 3:3; Romans 10:9; John 8:31. How does someone become a disciple of Jesus according to these passages of Scripture?

6. Read Matthew 28:9; Matthew 14:22-33; Matthew 28:17. Define what it means to worship Jesus Christ.

7. Read Matthew 28:18. What does it mean that Jesus Christ has all authority in heaven and on earth?

8. Read Matthew 28:19a; Matthew 24:14; Acts 14:21; Romans 10:14. What does it mean to make disciples? Who is capable of making disciples? How does someone go about making disciples?

9. Read Matthew 28:19-20. Define and discuss the different steps in the process for making disciples.

10. Read Matthew 28:20b; Deuteronomy 31:8; Hebrews 13:5; Acts 1:8. What is the significance of having Jesus Christ with us as we go into all the world to make disciples?
