2. What does it mean to seek or inquire of the Lord? What are some ideas related to God’s accessibility to us (cf. Psalm 139:7-12; Ephesians 2:18; Hebrews 4:16)? Is God accessible to all people? Provide scripture to support your answer.
3. How does God’s trustworthiness and faithfulness encourage us to seek Him (Psalm 9:10; 111:7-9; 145:18-20; Jeremiah 29:11-13; Numbers 23:19)? What are some of the reasons you would give for people to seek God?
4. Why do you think we forget to seek the Lord? Read the following passages and describe the general attitude we’re to have with regard to seeking God (Psalm 105:3-4; 1Chronicles 16:11; Isaiah 26:3; Proverbs 3:6).
5. What does it mean, and how can we do better at setting our minds on things above (cf. Colossians 3:1-2)? What does “things above” stand for? What are some ways in which we can do better at seeking God as a priority in our lives (cf. Matthew 6:33; Psalm 27:8; 63:1-4; Proverbs 8:17)? How would seeking God more impact your life?
6. Why should we seek God in times of trouble (cf. Psalm 50:14-15; Lamentations 3:25; Philippians 4:6-7)? Read the following passages and take time to seek the Lord: 2Chronicles 7:14; James 4:8-10.
