2. What are some attributes or characteristics that make something great? How would you define greatness as to how it pertains to people. What makes a person great? Is it proper for us to consider some people great (cf. Exodus 11:3)? Explain.
3. What does it mean that God is great (cf. Psalm 95; 1Chronicles 29:11)? What attributes of God point to his greatness (cf. Isaiah 55:8-9)? What is it about God’s works and deeds that are great? Are all of God’s deeds great, or just some? Explain.
4. If God is great, and he is, how should that impact our response to him (cf. Psalm 34:3; 145:1-6)? With what attitude and demeanor should we come into the presence of the Great God (cf. 1Peter 5:6-7; Corinthians 15:10)?
5. Read the following passages and describe how God’s greatness distinguishes him from all others: Exodus 15:11; Psalm 77:13; 113:4-5; 89:5-8; Micah 7:18-19.
6. How does God’s greatness benefit his people (cf. Psalm 126:1-3)? Is it wrong for us to think that God’s greatness should benefit us? What would it look like to find life and happiness in the greatness of God (cf. John 10:10)?
