2. What does it mean that the heart of man is desperately sick (cf. Jeremiah 17:9)? Does this concept apply to Christians today? Should Christians consider their heart as lacking and sick (cf. Ezekiel 36:26)? Explain.
3. What does it mean that David was a man after God’s own heart (cf. 1Samuel 13:14)? From where did David’s heart for God come? Why do we sometimes struggle with discerning a person’s heart for the Lord (cf. 1Samuel 16:7)?
4. Describe the rest of God. What does it mean to have the rest of God, and how do we know if we have it (cf. Colossians 3:15)? Would you say that you are living in the rest of God? Explain your thoughts.
5. Why did David want to build a house for the Lord? What are some ways in which a heart for God desires to honor Him (cf. Proverbs 3:9-10; 1Corinthians 6:19-20; 10:31)? Describe some ways in which you strive to honor God?
