2. Describe how significance is associated with coming before the Lord in this passage? What exactly do David and the writer mean by stating that worship was done “before” the Lord? Why do you think this point was included in the story?
3. Can we come before the Lord in worship today (cf. Psalm 22:3; 100:1-2)? What are some things we need to do if we want to come before the Lord? What does the Lord require of those who come before Him?
4. How would you describe Michal? What does the story tell us about her and her attitude? Do you think it is significant that she did not attend the worship? Explain. Why do you think she despised David in her heart?
5. What does it mean that David “uncovered” himself during worship (cf. 6:20)? What was the main complaint that Michal had against David? Should we consider David as acting “unkingly” or improperly in his worship? Explain.
