1. If you were not at this week’s sermon, consider going to the church website and listening to it. What main ideas did you gain from the message? Do you have any questions?

2) Why do you think the Resurrection of Christ is so important to the Christian Faith? How does the Resurrection give you hope and confidence? List some of your favorite passages about the Resurrection.

3) Read the four main accounts of the Resurrection of Christ in Matthew 28; Mark 16; Luke 24 and John 20. List at least three key observations from these accounts.

4) How is the Resurrection of Christ related to the promises of God? Do you think the Resurrection is primarily a New Testament or an Old Testament teaching? Explain. Do you think Abraham, David, and Job hoped in the Resurrection? Explain.

5) How does the Resurrection demonstrate the power of God (cf. 2Corinthians 8:11; Acts 2:24; etc.)? What did Paul mean in saying he wanted to know the “power of his resurrection” (Philippians 3:10-11)? How can we live in the power of the Resurrection?

6) Explain how the Resurrection works to fulfill God’s plan? Could God’s plan be fulfilled without the Resurrection of Christ or his people? Read 1Corinthians 15 and explain how the Resurrection is related to the Gospel. How does the resurrection of Jew and Gentile work to unify the people of God?
