2. Describe some thoughts that come to mind when you think of someone who demonstrates rage or fits of anger. What do acts of rage say about a person’s self- control, discipline, and maturity?
3. Read the following Scriptures and state your thoughts and observations:
– Proverbs 14:29
– Proverbs 16:32
– Proverbs 22:24
– Proverbs 29:22
– Ecclesiastes 7:9
4. Why is it important for Christians to put away anger (cf. Ephesians 4:31; Colossians 3:8)? How can we control and overcome anger? What does it mean that the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God (cf. James 1:19-21)?
5. What are some contributing factors to anger and rage? Do you think it is ever appropriate for Christians to be angry (cf. Proverbs 6)? Why is it important to resolve and settle anger quickly (cf. Ephesians 4:25-27)?
6. Why is it wrong to describe God as an angry God (cf. Exodus 34:6-7; Psalm 103:8)? Do you ever struggle with the idea that God becomes angry (cf. Romans 9:22-24)? Describe the means and significance of being saved from the wrath of God (cf. 1Thessalonians 1:9-10; 5:9; Romans 5:6-11; 1John 4:10).
