1. If you were not at this week’s service, consider going to the church website and listening to the sermon. What main ideas did you gain from the message? Do you have any questions?

2. Read the following passages in Hebrews: 2:10; 5:9; 7:28; 10:14. What meaning and ideas should we associate with the word perfect? What does it mean that Christ is perfect?

3. How does the love of Christ demonstrate the perfection of love (cf. 1 John 3:16; John 15:9; Galatians 2:20)? What are some ways in which we can show perfect love for one another as Christians?

4. Which of Christ’s perfections have impressed you most (e.g., love, humility, wisdom, patience, gentleness, faithfulness, kindness, obedience, servitude, etc.)? Explain why.

5. What perfections of Christ’s character are mentioned by the writer in Hebrews 7:26? What does it mean for us to separate ourselves from sinners (cf. 1 Corinthians 5:9-11)?

6. Describe the significance of Christ being the Son of God. Why was the Father pleased with the Son (cf. Matthews 17:5)? Do you believe we can please God? Explain.

7. Describe some reasons as to why Christ was the perfect sacrifice (cf. 1 Peter 1:18-19). How did the sacrifice of Christ differ from the other priestly sacrifices?
