Life Group Questions

1. If you were not at this week’s service, consider going to the church website and listening to the sermon. What main ideas did you gain from the message? Do you have any questions?

2. If you joined our group at TVR for the family retreat, share something positive about the weekend. In general, what impressed you about the teaching?

3. Provide your understanding of what the Bible calls good works? What are some things that qualify as good works? How do we know if our works are good?

4. In Ephesians 2:10, the Apostle Paul states that believers are created in Christ for the purpose of good works. What does it mean to be created in Christ? Describe the process of this new creation (cf. Ezekiel 36:26-27; 2 Corinthians 5:17).

5. Describe somebody who has been a positive model of good works for you (cf. Titus 2:7-10). List some good examples to follow as mentioned in the book of Philippians (cf. Philippians 2). List some ways you can be a good model for good works.

6. What are some ways in which other people have encouraged you in good works? Describe some of the key elements mentioned in Hebrews 10:24-25. How has Christ’s example of forgiveness serve as a model for us forgiving others (cf. Ephesians 4:32)?

7. What is the Gospel? How can we be faithful in doing the work of the Gospel? Do you believe Macedonia is a Gospel-centered church? Why or why not? List some ways we can esteem others (Philippians 2:3-4)?

8. Read Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, and Ephesians 4. What spiritual gift(s) has God given you? What are some of your passions and how can those be used to glorify God? As we approach a new ministry year at Macedonia, pray and ask God to lead you in an area of service.
