1. If you were not at this week’s sermon, consider going to the church website and listening to it. What main ideas did you gain from the message? Do you have any questions?

2. Read the following passages: Hebrews 1:4-7, 13; 2:2,5,7,9. Why do you think the writer of the book of Hebrews had so much to say about angels? What would you say are the main points about angels in these passages? Read Hebrews 1:14. What is the role of angels? Who are angels sent out to serve?

3. Read Hebrews 2:5. How would you define the world to come? Who will not be ruling? Who will be ruling?

4. Read Hebrews 2:6-9. What does it mean that for a little while Jesus was made lower than the angels? What are some Bible doctrines that flow from Jesus being made for a little while lower than the angels?

5. Define how you understand the difference between “Son of God” and “Son of Man”? What is the significance of Jesus being called “the Son of Man?” How is His humanity and deity reflected in the usage? See Daniel 7:13-14 and Isaiah 53:3-5.

6. What is the significance of Jesus being “crowned” with glory and honor? What does the writer of Hebrews say that Jesus did to be worthy to receive such a crown? See Hebrews 2:9.

7. Why did Christ have to take the form of a man and lower Himself to save us? See 1 Corinthians 15:45-49, Romans 5:17.

8. What does it mean that by the grace of God Jesus might taste death for everyone? See Hebrews 2:9.

9. What is not under Christ’s rule/dominion? What impact does it have on us knowing that everything is controlled by Christ? See Matthew 28:18-20.
