Life Group Questions

1. If you could not hear this week’s sermon, consider going to the church website and listening to it. What main ideas did you gain from the message? Do you have any questions?

2. Read Acts chapter one and write down the main points and discuss what you discovered.

3. Read Acts 2:1-13. What is the meaning of “the day of Pentecost?” Discuss the results of the coming of the Holy Spirit? What is the filling of the Holy Spirit? What was the reaction of some of the people when they heard the different languages spoken?

4. Read Acts 2:14-21 and Joel 2:28-32. What was the Apostle Peter’s explanation for the different languages spoken?

5. Read Acts 2:22-36. What was the main point of the Apostle Peter’s sermon? What Old Testament passages did Peter use in his sermon? How does this apply to us?

6. Read Acts 2:37-41. Why do you think the people were “cut to the heart” after hearing Peter’s sermon? What was Peter’s solution to those who asked him, what must we do? Explain the statement “everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself” (cf.vs.39).

7. Read Acts 2:42-47. What is the Apostles’ teaching? What does it mean to be “devoted to the Apostles’ teaching?

8. Read Acts 2:42 and 1 John 1:3, 5-7. What is the meaning of “fellowship?” According to Acts 2:44-47a, how was fellowship demonstrated among the new believers?

9. Read Acts 2:42. What is the meaning of “the breaking of bread?” How important is participating in the Lord’s Supper to the life of a believer?

10.Read Acts 2:42. What is the meaning of “the prayers?” Give some biblical passages where Jesus and the Apostles prayed? How is your prayer life?

11. What are some areas of your spiritual life that you need to improve for 2022? What priorities do you need to make? Please accept the challenge to faithfully read the Word of God this year. If you need a Bible reading plan, please see one of the elders.
